Proteomics and Protein Analysis
The Meharry Proteomics and Protein Analysis Core (PRO) provides comprehensive bottom-up Proteomic services on the Orbitrap platform with optional MudPIT, isobaric tag labeling (SILAC or TMT/iTRAQ), and PTM analysis. Additional services include protein separation and analysis with UHPLC or FPLC, and SPR analysis for protein binding.
Equipment:
- Thermo Orbitrap Exploris 120 mass spectrometer with UltiMate 3000 RSLC nano-chromatograph for Proteomics and LC-MS analysis
- Thermo Proteome Discoverer software
- Bio-Rad NGC 100 FPLC system with fraction collector
- Agilent 1260 Infinity II UHPLC system
- Nicoya OpenSPR instrument
Proteomics and LC-MS Services:
- Shotgun Proteomics analysis (gel-based or liquid samples) with optional PTM analysis
- 10-step MudPIT with label-free, SILAC or TMT/iTRAQ quantification for complex biological samples (full cell lysates or tissue homogenates)
- Targeted small molecule LC-MS analysis with optional absolute quantitation using deuterated internal standards
- Protein separation/analysis with FPLC or UHPLC
- Protein binding studies with SPR (surface plasmon resonance)
- Proteomics data analysis, training, and consulting
