Composed of over thirty designated officers, dispatchers, chiefs, sergeants, lieutenants and officers at your service, DCSS is committed to protecting the MMC community through community policing practices and community education.

Security Escort Services

Meharrians don’t walk alone at night. From dusk til dawn, DCSS is available to escort you on- or off-campus on foot, in a department golf cart or campus security vehicle. To request your escort, call 615.327.6254 or 615.327.6290. 

Emergency Alert Sign-Up

Staying in the know means staying safe. Sign up for SMS alerts to be notified of and updated on urgent incidents on campus.

Crime Prevention

To keep our community safe, DCSS regularly offers crime prevention education programs to students and faculty. Request a session and read all their tips here. 

Building Access and Parking

All Meharrians, visitors and vendors are required to have parking decals and identification cards to gain access to most campus buildings. Learn how to request one here.

Clery Annual Security Report

The Clery Annual Security Report highlights components of the college’s crime prevention strategies and reports on crime statists as required by the federal Clery Act.

Clery Daily Crime Log

The Clery Daily Crime Log records all reported criminal incidents occurring on campus, on public property immediately adjacent to campus, and on non-campus properties affiliated with the College

Clery Act Info & Reporting

Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) are individuals designated to report certain crimes under the Clery Act. As a CSA, your role is critical in ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe campus environment.
