Who We Are
The Meharry Medical College Travel Clinic provides pre-travel consultations, required and recommended vaccinations, and personalized health guidance for international travelers. Whether you are traveling for work, school, mission trips, research, or vacation, our team is here to help you stay healthy before, during, and after your trip.
Please schedule your appointment well in advance of your departure date. Most health insurance plans do not cover travel vaccines or services. Insurance is not billed, and payment is due at the time of service.

About Dr. Berthaud
Vladimir Berthaud, M.D., MPH, CPH, FACP, FIDSA, is a professor of medicine, microbiology, immunology and physiology at Meharry Medical College. He is also director of the Division of Infectious Diseases, founding executive director of the Meharry Community Wellness Center AIDS Center of Excellence, and associate director of the Clinical Discovery Core of the Tennessee Center for AIDS Research. Dr. Berthaud is Diplomate in Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health.
