Biostatistics Core (BST)
The Bioinformatics Core at Meharry Medical College provides advanced computational biology support for the analysis, integration, and interpretation of complex biomedical data. We aim to empower researchers with the tools, expertise, and training needed to extract meaningful insights from high-dimensional biomedical datasets.
Biostatistics services
The Meharry Biostatistics sub-core (BST) provides statistical support and services (i.e., statistical methodology and study design, sample size determination/power analysis, statistical analysis plan, and data analytics) using cutting-edge statistical methods and software to all Meharry faculty, staff and students engaged in research as well as collaborators outside Meharry Medical College.
Initial consulting services are offered free of charge. The staff scientist determines the time it will take to complete the project and presents the associated fee for the requested support to the investigator.
Collaborative projects should fund a biostatistician’s effort in one of the following ways:
- Contracts: Support the biostatistician’s effort in the contract.
- Grants: Support the biostatistician’s fees in the personnel budget.
- Clinical trials: Support the biostatistician’s effort in the clinical trials finance budget.
