Biosafety Level 3 Facility (BSL)

High-Containment Research

The BSL3 Core provides a secure, specialized facility for research involving Risk Group 3 (RG3) infectious agents. Designed with advanced engineering controls and stringent operational protocols, the BSL3 Core minimizes risk to personnel, the environment, and the community.

Services:

  1. Secure space for handling RG3 pathogens under BSL-3 containment
  2. Support for infectious disease research in microbiology, virology, and immunology
  3. Biosafety oversight and protocol consultation for high-risk studies

Facility Features & Equipment:

  1. Four biosafety cabinets, six CO₂ incubators supporting six concurrent researchers
  2. Beckman Optima L-90K Ultracentrifuge: SW60Ti, SW-32, and SW41

Flow Cytometry Core (FLO)

The Flow Cytometry Core (FLO) provides advanced instrumentation and expert support for multi-parameter analysis of cells and particles using fluorescence-based flow cytometry. FLO enables high-sensitivity detection, rare event analysis, and cell sorting to support a wide range of basic and translational research applications.
