Meharry Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest historically Black academic health sciences centers. We are a community of scholars, research leaders and clinicians –– from every demographic –– committed to advancing healthcare for all.
A community of scholars and learners
Meharry includes five schools: School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Graduate Studies, School of Applied Computational Sciences and School of Global Health. Our graduate and professional academic programs include online, hybrid and in-person offerings in medicine, dentistry, health sciences, global health, and data science and other applications of artificial intelligence.

Immersive community research
Meharry empowers diverse, underserved populations through research and thought leadership. These activities advance health equity and connects labs to the bedside and the classroom, providing faculty and students remarkable insight.
We are pursuing groundbreaking research in genomics, social determinants of health, precision health and other areas that will improve healthcare for all –– especially underserved populations.
Compassionate care
Our clinics provide patient-centered care for the entire family. Offerings include dental care on campus and, through the Meharry Medical Group, an ever-growing number of clinics in the Middle Tennessee area.
