Getting a Social Security Number

If you are authorized to work in the U.S. by Meharry Medical College, you may apply for a Social Security Number (SSN). This number is required for employment and tax purposes.

  • J-1 Scholars:
Confirm work eligibility with the Responsible Officer (RO) and obtain a verification letter if required.
