The Office of Compliance

The Office of Compliance supports our mission to train competent, ethical, and compassionate healthcare professionals and employees by ensuring that all programs meet federal, state, accreditation, and institutional requirements. 

We work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners to promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence in health professions education.  

What We Do

Our office is responsible for: 

Regulatory Oversight

Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations from agencies such as: 

  • U.S. Department of Education (ED) 
  • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 
  • State licensing boards 

Accreditation Support

Facilitating ongoing compliance with the standards of accrediting bodies including: 

  • Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) 
  • Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) 
  • Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) 
  • Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) 
  • And others, depending on program 

Clinical Site Monitoring and Trainings 

Maintaining and verifying compliance with clinical site expectations, including: 

  • HIPAA training and documentation 
  • Blood Bourne Pathogens 

Trainings

Supporting students in tracking and meeting requirements related to: 

  • OSHA/HIPAA training 
  • Professional conduct 
  • Title VI -new employees 
  • Social Media 
  • Conflict of Interest with Disclosures 
  • Code of conduct 
  • Student mistreatment 
  • Making ethical decisions 
  • Respecting others 

Policy Development & Training

Drafting institutional policies and delivering training on key compliance topics such as: 

  • Academic integrity 
  • Title IX and nondiscrimination 
  • Whistleblower and Retaliation 
  • And others

You are responsible for understanding and meeting all compliance requirements for your program. Our team is here to help you stay on track and avoid delays in your academic or clinical progression.

  • Upholding accreditation standards 
  • Reporting incidents or concerns 
  • Supporting student compliance and documentation 
  • Participating in annual training
