We offer several group sessions and a range of confidential well-being services. 

Wellness Wednesday Workshops

  • Available to Meharry Students, every Wednesday, 12pm-1pm. 
  • Location: Cal Turner 3rd floor, Rooms 305 and 318 
  • No prior registration required

*All counseling and well-being services for students are free and confidential. When referrals are made to mental health providers for students, these services are normally covered under the provision of the students’ health insurance policy. 

Meharry Connect

Meharry Connect offers a place for students to talk about concerns during free, confidential 15-minute consultations. You can have someone listen to you and offer support, or you might prefer to receive expert suggestions about solutions and resources. This service is available to enrolled Meharry Medical College students via HIPAA-compliant Zoom. Sign up in advance to chat with a Meharry Counselor! Referrals

Referrals to other agencies or to other health care providers are made as appropriate. Students seeking services from a psychiatrist for medication evaluation or other issues will be referred to a Counseling and Well-being Services psychiatrist.

Confidentiality

Please be assured that all counseling services are strictly confidential. No faculty member, staff, student, friend, or family member will be permitted access to a student’s counseling records without written authorization from the student. Counseling session’s records are NOT a part of the student’s academic record.

Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)

What is TAO? 

TAO includes over 150 brief, effective, educational sessions covering over 50 common topics and skills related to mental health, wellness, and substance use issues. TAO Includes interactive sessions, mindfulness exercises and practice tools all aimed at helping you achieve your goals. 

WellConnect

WellConnect is a confidential program designed to help medical students manage and improve their mental health while working to achieve their goals. When it comes to the student’s mental health, work-life balance can be difficult to manage and may need a little guidance. WellConnect will assist in providing the students an opportunity of the services offered for mental health.
