Quantum BLOOM
Quantum BLOOM: Building Literacy, Outreach & Opportunity in Quantum Mechanics, is a student organization dedicated to advancing quantum science literacy, community engagement, and industry partnerships among Meharry graduate scholars.
Quantum BLOOM Goals:
- Build foundational quantum science literacy among members through peer-led learning sessions (“Bloom Circles”) and a monthly seminar series.
- Extend quantum literacy beyond campus through public-facing outreach events for the Nashville community and adult learners, fulfilling Meharry’s community-service participation requirement.
- Establish sustained partnerships with quantum industry companies, national laboratories, and research institutions to create a pipeline of opportunities for members.
- Secure internship, research, and career pathway opportunities for members through those industry and laboratory partnerships.
- Provide a platform for graduate scholars to present original and in-progress quantum research, including an annual student research symposium open to industry observers.
- Strengthen Meharry’s visibility and standing in the emerging quantum workforce field.
