Experience the Meharry Campus
Campus visits provide an immersive introduction to Meharry’s academic community, mission-driven culture, and historic campus.
Each visit typically includes a guided walking tour and in some cases an information session led by the Office of Community Engagement. Guests will gain insight into the College’s academic programs, research initiatives, and community partnerships while experiencing the vibrant environment that defines Meharry.
During your visit, you may experience:

Community, Government & Partnership Visits
Meharry Medical College regularly hosts visits from community organizations, elected officials, healthcare leaders, corporate partners, and philanthropic institutions interested in learning more about the College’s impact and opportunities for collaboration.
The Office of Government Relations, Business Development, and Community Engagement coordinates specialized campus visits that highlight:
• Meharry’s community health initiatives
• Strategic state and federal partnerships
• Workforce development and education pipelines
• Innovation, entrepreneurship, and research collaborations
Organizations interested in partnership opportunities are encouraged to schedule a customized visit.
Things to Know Before Your Visit
Duration
Campus visits typically last approximately 1–1.5 hours and include both an information session and a guided walking tour of campus.
Tours are conducted according to our scheduled tour calendar and may not be available during College holidays, testing periods, or other times when the campus is closed.
Reservations
Advance reservations are required for campus tours.
Available tour days:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Available Times:
Monday: 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Visitors without a scheduled tour may be provided with a Visitor Guide to explore campus independently.
For group visits, reservations should be requested at least two weeks prior to the desired tour date. While we strive to accommodate all requests, availability may vary depending on campus programming.
Attire
Campus tours involve a walking tour covering a significant portion of campus.
Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather and to wear comfortable walking shoes. We also recommend bringing umbrellas or rain jackets in case of light rain.
Arrival Time
Out of respect for other visitors and the tour schedule, guests are asked to arrive on time.
Visitors arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their tour shortened or may be asked to reschedule their tour time.
Weather Policy
Walking tours may be modified or canceled in cases of severe or inclement weather to ensure the safety of visitors and the campus community.
If weather conditions require a modification, the information session will still be conducted indoors whenever possible.
Guests will be notified via email or text message if tours are canceled or adjusted due to weather or campus closures. Please ensure your contact information is updated on your reservation form.
Health & Safety
Campus tours and events may be modified as needed to align with institutional, state, or federal health and safety guidelines.
Additional guidance will be communicated to registered guests before their visit when applicable.
