There are three types of financial aid available at Meharry: scholarships and grants, federal work-study, and student loans. We encourage students to contact the specific program of interest to find the most up-to-date information on scholarships, grants, and graduate assistantship opportunities.
Scholarships and Grants
Scholarships and grants are gifts that you don’t have to repay. Find information about opportunities through Meharry and external sources.
Federal Work-Study
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program provides part-time jobs for graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses by lowering the overall amount of loans a student must use.
Student Loans
Loans are funds that are borrowed and must be repaid. Students should borrow conservatively.
