Community Food Resources Available

There is ongoing uncertainty about our country’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which provides critical food assistance to 41 million Americans – 700,000 of these Americans live in Tennessee. Many in our community may be at risk of experiencing food insecurity as the government shutdown lingers.

HOW TO HELP

We urge you to help in any way you can, as food insecurity on a national scale means it is happening in your backyard. Whether you can donate food, your time, or finances, please look out for your neighbors.

At Meharry, we remain committed to keeping our community safe and cared for; we are here to help provide support and connect you with resources. If you or someone you know is currently struggling with food insecurity, contact any of the outstanding organizations below.
