Regulatory Affairs
The Regulatory Affairs Department is responsible for overseeing all regulatory committees. The Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews and manages human research ensuring all rules, regulations and protections are being adhered to regarding human subject’s research as well as reviewing and processing all human research studies. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) maintains all rules, guidelines and standard operating procedures regulating animal research. Including but not limited to reviewing and processing animal research protocols and ensuring animal safety and wellbeing. The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) requires a submission along with any protocol submission, be it human or animal. The IBC reviews and processes all protocol submissions for any biohazard materials, hazardous toxins, infectious agents to ensure the highest level of compliance to instructional guidelines, to ensure participant safety as well as institutional safeguards.
