SOGS Department of Applied Education offers new degree programs

The School of Graduate Studies Department of Applied Education is proud to announce two new degree programs designed to meet the growing demand for skilled leaders in the health care education sector.

The programs are structured to provide flexibility and accessibility to working professionals through an asynchronous online format. This allows students to complete coursework at their own pace, making it easier to balance their studies with professional and personal commitments.

Key features of the programs:

Master of Education (M.Ed.): A 30-hour program focused on developing foundational skills in educational leadership, curriculum design and instructional strategies tailored for health care settings.

Doctor of Education (Ed.D.): A comprehensive 60-hour program aimed at preparing advanced leaders with expertise in policy development, organizational management and research methodologies in health care education.

The program is set to begin in August 2025. For more information, please contact Michelle Steele, chair of applied education, at msteele@mmc.edu, or Allyson Fleming, program director, at afleming@mmc.edu.
