FOUR STUDENT ABSTRACTS ACCEPTED TO 2025 AMERICAN THORACIC SOCIETY CONFERENCE

Exciting news — four abstracts from our team have been accepted to the 2025 American Thoracic Society (ATS) Conference this May!

A huge congratulations is due to Noah Whittenbager and Evann Bailey for their dedication and hard work in advancing respiratory research. Under the guidance of Dr. Shumit Saha as part of his Resonance Lab, these students played a crucial role in data analysis, machine learning applications, and statistical evaluations—contributing to innovative studies in sleep apnea management and AI evaluation in respiratory care.

Both Noah and Evann led key roles in the research process. “For Noah, he did a lot of signal processing and machine learning,” shared Dr. Saha. “For Evann, she did a lot of statistics and other analysis. We met almost every week, and they also helped write the abstract itself.”

Acceptance to ATS is a major milestone for student researchers. “This is a great achievement for the students,” said Dr. Saha. “It shows the community that they are doing important work and allows them to get feedback that will help polish their final papers.”

“As an independent investigator, seeing them excel and get their abstracts accepted at such a prestigious conference is a very proud feeling for me. It’s a great step toward their future academic success.”
