Dr. Ashley Hicks to Join Skyline Community

Meharry Family Medicine at Skyline would like to welcome Dr. Ashley Hicks to its community.
Dr. Hicks is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.  She provides primary care to adults and children, as well as preventative care such as physicals, Medicare and will outsource, if needed.A Nashville native whose father was an Internal Medicine physician and mother who was a nurse, she always had a high interest in medicine and wanted to help the underserved.
Dr. Hicks received her Doctor of Medicine Degree and completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine at Meharry Medical College.  She has been practicing for a total of six years.
She practiced at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Center from 2015 to 2021 before recently being hired with Meharry Medical Group.  Dr. Hicks has a high interest in treating patients with diabetes and hypertension.
She realizes these conditions are more prevalent in Hispanics and African Americans and early signs are often ignored.  She enjoys teaching her patients about the diseases and showing that she truly cares and wants the best for them. Dr. Hicks is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her baby boy, family, and friends, shopping, and traveling (using COVID precautions).  She also enjoys working with Residents and “teaching the next generation”. Dr. Hicks is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to making a difference in the community.  To schedule an appointment, call 615.327.6348 (MD4U).
