Federal Work-Study

The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Programprovides part-time jobs for graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses by lowering the overall amount of loans a student must use. FWS is not a grant (you must work to earn it), and it is not a loan (you do not have to repay it). Eligible students are offered Federal Work-Study after their completed FAFSA is reviewed by the college and the student has completed the FA Work-Study Request and Agreement form. The program encourages community service work and work related to the recipient’s course of study. Due to limited allocation and open positions, FWS funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, until funds are depleted.
