Executive Committee
The purpose of the committee is to review and discuss key initiatives and policies affecting graduate programs, ensure alignment with institutional goals, and provide guidance on strategic decisions. The committee will address ongoing challenges, assess academic standards, and collaborate on fostering an environment of excellence in graduate education. Additionally, the meeting will involve reviewing past actions, approving new initiatives, and planning for the upcoming academic term.

Curriculum Committee
This committee shall a) Oversee overall curriculum across the programs, ensure coordination of course content across programs and that high academic standards are maintained; b) Recommend new programs, recommend closing programs and revise degree related catalogue changes and curriculum matters for approval by the Board of Trustees.

Student Evaluation and Promotion Committee
The Student Evaluation and Promotion Committee, makes recommendations to the Dean regarding each student’s continued enrollment and/or academic progress in the School of Graduate Studies, including continuation, promotion to the next academic year, additional educational activities and support, suspension, dismissal, or any variation thereof that in the opinion of the Committee is appropriate.

Admissions and Recruitment Committee
The Admissions and Recruitment Committee oversees overall school-wide admissions and recruiting activities; evaluates annual admissions statistics for each program.
Policies, Procedures and Accreditation Committee
The committee shall: (a) Oversee, and review policies and procedures, policy manuals, handbooks, academic catalog, and academic calendar for SOGS. The procedure for approval of policies via PolicyTech shall be strictly adhered to. This includes i) Preparation and/or revision of the policies/procedures by each program, ii) Initial review by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, iii) Uploading into PolicyTech by the Assistant Director for Academic Affairs, iv) Internal review by members of this committee, v) Review by Legal and vi) final approval by the Dean. (b) Oversee all accreditation and SACSCOC reports for each of the programs in the SOGS. The completed forms and/or reports will require approval by the Executive Committee and where applicable, signed by the Dean. All approved SACSCOC documentation/reports will be forwarded to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation (OIEA).
