Oral Health Day has been a staple of Meharry Medical College’s service for many years, sometimes with as many as 600 procedures performed in one day. No insurance or ID is required of patients.

The program, mostly staffed with faculty-supervised Meharry School of Dentistry students, attracts the services of alumni who return to their alma mater for the day as well as area dental professionals, all providing services to patients from Middle Tennessee, across the state and some from surrounding states. Students and faculty from the School of Medicine also support the effort with health pre-screening and patient triage.

Services are offered on a first-come-first-served basis, with children scheduled via pre-registration or appointment.
