The clinic is open year-round except during holidays and exam weeks.  

Mon. – Thur.  
8am-4pm  

Fri. 
8 a.m. – Noon  

If you are experiencing a dental emergency (pain or swelling), arrive at 7:15 a.m. on a weekday.  You will be seen as a walk-in.   

Emergency Service available 24 hours a day (by residents on call) at Metro Nashville General Hospital, 365 days a year.  

The Meharry General Practice Residency (GPR) Clinic is dedicated to offering emergency and comprehensive dental care to patients regardless of their medical complexitiesWe utilize advanced techniques and the latest cutting-edge technology to provide the full scope of general dentistry treatmentWe also offer dental clearance visits for patients requiring cardiovascular or orthopedic surgery.  

Services

We provide a wide range of dental services for both neurotypical and special needs teens and adults: examinations, diagnoses of dental conditions, and a complete range of dental treatment procedures in a state-of-the-art facility. We provide treatment of complex dental cases including patients with special health care needs or medical complexities. We have multiple specialists available onsite for consultations and referrals, including surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics.

Fees and Payment Plans

Our reasonable fees are approximately 50 percent lower than the average private dental office in the Nashville area. We accept TennCare and most private insurance plans as well as Visa, MasterCard, cash and check.

What to expect at your first visit

A complete examination will be performed, and we will discuss your oral health needs and the services that we can provide. Fees will be discussed at this time as well as payment options.  Please abstain from using marijuana or any other illicit drugs for 72 hours before your appointment.
