The Communications team manages Meharry’s external messaging to ensure a strong and consistent media presence. We assist with writing and distributing press releases, coordinating interviews, and responding to inquiries from local and national outlets. We also provide talking points and media training to prepare faculty and staff for public engagements.
Social Media Strategy and Support
We oversee the College’s official social media accounts and partner with departments to plan engaging content that aligns with Meharry’s mission. Services include campaign development, content calendar support, branded graphics, hashtag strategy, and performance tracking. We also provide training and recommendations for departmental or program-specific accounts.
Website Content Updates and Management
Our team manages updates to the Meharry website to keep content current and accurate. We support departments with text revisions, page creation, photo additions, and navigation improvements. Requests can be submitted through our online form, and turnaround time varies based on the complexity of the request.
Graphic Design and Branding
Need a flyer, digital graphic, or report design? We offer graphic design services that align with Meharry’s visual identity. We also provide access to official logos, brand colors, typography, and templates to ensure all materials are cohesive and professional. Our team can review existing designs for brand compliance.
Event Promotion and Marketing Consultation
From student recruitment to alumni gatherings, we provide strategic marketing support for campus events. We can help with messaging, visual assets, email promotion, and social media campaigns. For best results, we recommend reaching out at least 3–4 weeks in advance.
Photography and Videography Requests
Our team can help capture key moments across campus, including professional headshots, event coverage, and promotional videos. Photography and videography services are available upon request, based on availability and project scope. We also maintain a media archive for departmental use.
Internal Communication Support
Effective communication is key to a connected campus. We assist with crafting internal announcements, newsletters, and messaging for faculty, staff, and students. Our goal is to foster transparency, promote key initiatives, and support collaboration across departments.
