Founded in 1876, Meharry Medical College has stood as a beacon of opportunity and excellence for nearly 150 years. Born out of a vision to educate formerly enslaved individuals in the healing arts, Meharry has grown into a nationally recognized institution known for producing compassionate, highly skilled health professionals, researchers, and leaders.
