One of the best ways for Meharrians to stay safe is by taking advantage of the security escort service offered by campus security, available from dusk to dawn. This service is convenient, free, and a great alternative to walking alone at night. While the security escort service is primarily designed for students, faculty and staff working on campus after hours are also encouraged to utilize it for their safety.

When can you request a security escort?
Security escorts are available on foot or campus security vehicle, from dusk till dawn.
Note: During winter, dusk begins at 4:30 p.m., and in the summer, at 7 p.m.
What are the geographic limitations of the campus security escort service?
The campus security escort service covers the public streets surrounding Meharry’s campus, including Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Blvd., 21st Avenue North and Meharry Blvd. The train tracks mark the end of campus security’s jurisdiction.
