Meharry Medical College is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment where all members of the community are treated with dignity and care. Hazing of any kind is prohibited at Meharry Medical College. This prohibition applies to all student groups, academic programs, and campus affiliated organizations without exception.

Anti Hazing Policy

The Anti Hazing Policy reflects the requirements of Tennessee Code Annotated, the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, and the federal Stop Campus Hazing Act. The policy outlines the responsibilities of Meharry Medical College to prevent hazing, respond to reports and ensure timely and transparent communication.

The Campus Hazing Transparency Report is updated monthly.

Compliance Statement

This information is provided in accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, signed into law on December 23, 2024. This Act amended Section 485f of the Higher Education Act, commonly known as the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act. Meharry Medical College is required to publish definitions, statistics, reporting information and disciplinary outcomes related to hazing.
