The Campaign 150 Steering Committee is dedicated to advancing initiatives that strengthen communities and expand access to essential services. A key focus of this campaign is supporting Meharry Medical College initiatives, which play a critical role in addressing healthcare disparities and improving outcomes for underserved populations.
Through this partnership, the committee champions programs that enhance medical education, increase healthcare access, and drive innovative solutions to improve public health. James E. (Jim) Williams

James E. (Jim) Williams founded Williams Communications in 1994 by buying his first FM radio station. He also served as president of Cheyenne Property Development, a real estate development company specializing in the building and sales of luxury mountain homes. Williams retired as executive vice president after a 30-year career at Turner Broadcasting System. He began his career at TBS as a sales representative working with the Atlanta Braves in 1979. In 1987 he became the first African American vice president to head a business unit for TBS. With the Braves as part of his portfolio, he joined TBS’s executive committee in 1994 when he elevated Turner and the Braves’ diversity consciousness by launching Turner’s first major inclusion initiative.
