Transitions Scholarship

Dr. Henry A. Moses Transition Scholarship Fund Application

The Transition Stipends are funded through the earnings of the Dr. Henry A. Moses Transition Scholarship Fund and are available to medical or dental students graduating in 2024. Individuals entering military service are not eligible. Recipients of service-obligation scholarship programs (e.g., Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program, National Health Service Corps, and State Medical Education Board of Georgia Scholarship Program) are also ineligible for the Dr. Henry A. Moses Discretionary Fund Stipends for seniors. Students must provide written notification from their program director confirming that they have earned a residency position; this notification must accompany the application. Graduates entering private practice instead of a residency program are not eligible for the stipend. Applications must include a brief statement (500 words or fewer) outlining your activities, leadership roles, and service to Meharry Medical College during your matriculation. The stipend may be awarded in amounts up to $1,000, as determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Meharry National Alumni Association.
