Resource Training

Librarians are dedicated to informing and educating the Meharry community on the use of the library’s subscribed print and web-based tools for clinical, research, and curriculum needs and offer scheduled and impromptu training sessions for groups and individuals.

Electronic Classroom

Group training may be held in the Electronic Classroom, Room 318, on the library’s second floor of the S.S. Kresge Learning Resource Center (LRC 3). Librarians also conduct training sessions elsewhere on campus (orientations, department meetings, in-class instruction) along with virtual training upon request using Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, Panopto, or Microsoft Teams. 

Training Specifications: The room contains 12 PCs and an instructor’s workstation 

Reserve the Classroom: In addition to scheduled training, the Electronic Classroom is available for faculty and staff training sessions among MMC departments and divisions. To reserve the classroom, contact Health Information Analyst III Vanessa Smith, MLIS, at vsmith@mmc.edu or call 615.327.6463.
