Student National Medical Association
The purpose of the Meharry Chapter of Student National Medical Association (SNMA) serves to educate medical and premedical students in the surrounding community on the importance implementing programs for the benefit of the underserved. SNMA understands that the provision of medical education and services that are culturally sensitive are the best ways to insure that the diverse needs of the ever-growing Metro Nashville area will afford more and more students of color the opportunity to obtain admission to and successfully complete various medical curricula from the post-bac years and throughout lifelong careers. Students enrolled in the Meharry Medical College School of Medicine are automatically members of the SNMA.
