There is ongoing uncertainty about our country’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which provides critical food assistance to 41 million Americans – 700,000 of these Americans live in Tennessee. Many in our community may be at risk of experiencing food insecurity as the government shutdown lingers.
